Accept Visa and Mastercard in Zimbabwe
Reach diaspora, tourists and anyone paying on an international card.
Rolling out as Lango expands — EcoCash is live first.
Payments from beyond the local wallets
Not every customer pays from a Zimbabwean wallet. Diaspora buyers, travellers and businesses paying in USD reach for a Visa or Mastercard. Accepting them lets you sell to anyone with an international card, not only customers holding local mobile money.
USD and ZWG, never blended
Lango collects, displays and settles USD and ZWG separately — it never sums across currencies. A card payment in USD lands in your USD balance and settles as USD, with the fee and any conversion named on the advice, so your currency accounting stays honest.
Questions
Visa & Mastercard payments, answered
Can I accept international Visa and Mastercard payments in Zimbabwe?
Yes — Lango is built to accept Visa and Mastercard alongside local wallets, so diaspora and international customers can pay you by card while locals pay by mobile money.
Can I take card payments in USD?
Yes. USD is collected and settled as USD, kept separate from ZWG. Lango never blends currencies, and every fee or conversion is itemised on the settlement advice.
Do I need a separate merchant account for cards?
No. Cards are another method on your single Lango account, in the same checkout and settlement as everything else you accept.
When can I start accepting Visa and Mastercard?
EcoCash goes live first, with Visa and Mastercard acceptance rolling out as Lango expands. Register now to be ready to switch cards on.
